Today we have launched the GM Health and Care Champion Awards 2024.

Nominations are now open, until Friday 15th March with an awards ceremony to be held in early July.

We would be grateful if you could support the awards as they go into their fifth year – promoting nominations from within your organisation and across your social networks.

You can check out our awards social activity here.

The awards are organised by NHS Greater Manchester (NHS GM), with support from the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham. They were established back in 2018 and went virtual in 2021 due to the pandemic. They returned to a face-to-face celebration event in 2023, with a record number of nominations received.

As well as regular favourites such as Community Champion, Collaborative Champion and Rising Star, a new category has also been introduced this year, Team of the Year, which looks to recognise the value of good teamwork across our health and care services.

Nominations can be completed by colleagues or members of the public who wish to see an individual or team’s hard work recognised. Members of public can say a special thank you by nominating in our People’s Champion category, which is open for patients and service users only. For full details on the nomination process you can visit our website.

We can’t wait to start reading all the wonderful nominations.
