MAKING EVERY CONTACT COUNT – TRAIN THE TRAINER

Making Evert Contact Count – Train the Trainer – for Bury Providers.

What is the offer?

The GM Social Care Academy and the GM Training Hub are offering fully funded ‘Train the Trainer’ – Making Every Contact Count (MECC) for Mental Health

What is MECC for Mental Health?

Training is focused on upskilling the frontline non-specialist workforce in adult social care settings to become more health promoting. This is done by using a Making Every Contact Count (MECC) approach whereby purposeful mental health conversations can be integrated into everyday interactions with those they are caring for.

Who should attend this training?

We are looking for ASC providers who are delivering services in Bury to nominate one member of staff, interested in this topic, or a trainer,  to undertake 2 consecutive days of training and then to go back to their workplaces and train their colleagues on MECC for Mental Health. For those without previous experience delivering training the second day of the training is focussed on presentation and communication skills to ensure everyone has the confidence and skills to deliver MECC for Mental Health training to their colleagues.

When and where is the training?

The training is face to face and is booked for the 7th and 8th May at the The Neuven Stadium, M26 3PE,
