As part of National Grief Awareness Week, running from Tuesday 2nd to Monday 8th December, the
GM Bereavement Service are hosting three online webinars to support those who are impacted by
loss. Bereavement affects us all at some point in our lives and some may need extra support to
navigate their grief.
These sessions are open to colleagues experiencing grief and those who would like to know more
about the services available, so they can better support their colleagues and loved ones. Follow the

• Supporting the bereaved – Tuesday 2nd December at 10am – 11am
Join the webinar to learn more about Widowed and Youn (WAY), a UK charity that offers a
peer-to-peer support networks for anyone who has lost a partner before their 51st birthday.
• Supporting men through bereavement – Wednesday 3rd December at 10am – 11am
A UK charity supporting men following bereavement. Grief can cause severe emotional and
physical health conditions which are often overlooked and even ignored, especially in men.
Learn more about the approach StrongMen take and how men can access the support
available.
• Greater Manchester Bereavement Service – Wednesday 3rd December at 1pm – 1:45pm
Join this session to discover how the GM Bereavement Service offers support to all ages and
residents in GM who are bereaved or impacted by any cause of death. Also learn more about
the creative peer support initiated by NHS Greater Manchester.
