On Wednesday 10th September, there was an Infection Prevention and Control webinar – Protecting our residents – the importance of adult immunisations.<\/p>\n

It was delivered by a panel of experts from organisations across GM in collaboration with the NHS GM Screening and Immunisations team.<\/p>\n

The webinar was open to ALL<\/strong> staff working in care homes across GM, and covered the following topics:
\n*\u00a0 The importance of vaccinating older people against; Shingles, Pneumococcal, RSV, COVID and Flu.
\n*\u00a0 Vaccine safety and efficacy
\n*\u00a0 The challenges around capacity and best interest decisions
\n*\u00a0 What can we do to increase uptake in Care Home Residents<\/p>\n
