In particular:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Keep doors and windows closed where possible to advice from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS)minimise smoke entering buildings.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Consider closing blinds or curtains where appropriate to help reduce heat within the building.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Continue to monitor the welfare of residents, particularly those with respiratory conditions or other health vulnerabilities.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Use professional judgement to balance the need to reduce smoke exposure with the need to maintain a safe and comfortable indoor temperature during the current hot weather conditions.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Ensure staff remain vigilant for any residents who may be experiencing adverse effects from poor air quality and seek appropriate medical advice where required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We recognise that providers will need to make decisions based on the needs of the people they support and the conditions within their individual settings.
