NIHR are hoping shortly to confirm an exciting opportunity for a number of social workers, nurses, or professionals with similar experience to join the Empowered Together<\/b> research study.<\/span><\/p>\n

The study is exploring how we can better identify, assess, and coordinate support for a broad range of social care needs among people in prison. These roles would offer a unique opportunity to work directly within a prison setting, contribute to an important area of research, and help shape approaches to social care in prisons.<\/p>\n

The roles are expected to start around August 2027<\/b>, run for approximately two years<\/b>, and be based across several prisons in the North West. You would most likely be based primarily in one prison, working there around four days per week.<\/p>\n

As prison vetting can take some time, we are inviting early expressions of interest<\/b> now. At this stage there is no commitment\u2014NIHR would simply be very pleased to hear from anyone who might be interested in finding out more.<\/p>\n
