#BatonOfHopeUK<\/a> was designed to be the biggest suicide awareness and prevention initiative the UK had ever seen, opening up necessary conversations. It began in Glasgow and two weeks later reached Downing Street, London. The support throughout the fortnight was phenomenal. In Greater Manchester, hundreds turned out on a beautiful sunny day to help raise awareness of suicide and carry the Baton of Hope in memory of loved ones lost to suicide and as a beacon of hope to those who may be struggling. The day ended with an evening event with great speakers, musicians and poets and the first public performance of the Sing Their Name Choir, a\u00a0community choir for those bereaved by suicide living in Greater Manchester.\u00a0You can find out more about the Sing Their Name Choir here<\/a><\/p>\n
