A clinical model that improves access to evidence based psychological treatment with the clinical aspiration being to be able to offer psychological informed NICE adherent therapy and care for a great number of people with Complex Emotional and Relational Needs in Greater Manchester
Our aims
- Implement a structured clinical model and integrated multi-agency pathway across Greater Manchester
- Introduce local co-produced (between experts by experience and experts by occupation) care pathways in each Borough across Greater Manchester
- Deliver and evaluate with an agreed outcome set to ensure we monitor high quality services
- To not only improve clinical but also occupational and quality of life outcomes across Greater Manchester
- Deliver consistency in service delivery across Greater Manchester
- Improve support and education for carers supporting people with Complex Emotional and Relational Needs
- Enhance the whole system/community ability to be able to provide containing support and help for people in crisis and distressed associated with trauma and personality disorder
What do we offer?
We offer evidence based therapeutic interventions based on NICE guidance. It is likely to require about a year to 18 months commitment overall. Our service provides:
- Assessment, formulation and treatment
- Help, advice, support and signposting
- Care plan developed with service user
- Crisis support
- Medication review and management
- Psychoeducation
- Relapse planning
- Time-limited specialist interventions that may include: Mentalization-based group therapy; Dialectical behaviour therapy; a DBT skills only group; Occupational therapist led interventions to re-engage and re-integrate into community living
