Lunch and Learn to discover about Enjoy Your Baby resources for new parents and their families

A session for health colleagues in Greater Manchester

This event is for Greater Manchester only. For health colleagues: including primary care, health visiting and midwifery; social care practitioners; VCSE professionals and organisations; local government including: public health, safeguarding, children’s services and those working on the Early Years agenda in Greater Manchester.

The event will provide details about how the Enjoy Your Baby resources both digital or in person course could benefit individuals and communities. The digital self-help course and mini modules are available to Greater Manchester residents and workers and uniquely the website has e-books translated into at least 15 community languages spoken in Greater Manchester. These are accessible now www.gmlifeskills.com

Some families will prefer in person classes in groups and so we will tell you more about opportunities to signpost to and access this offer.

Finally, this event is a starting point for experienced trainers interested in finding out more about becoming a community trainer to deliver Enjoy Your Baby in person classes to new parents in the communities/services in which you work.

We are delighted that we will be joined by our guest speaker Professor Chris Williams who is Emeritus Professor of Psychosocial Psychiatry at the University of Glasgow and a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

He has a research background in computer-based self-help treatments for anxiety, depression, anorexia, bulimia, medically unexplained symptoms and carers.

Dr Williams is also Director of Five Areas Ltd and has authored a suite of resources including Enjoy Your Baby which are being used widely in the UK and internationally.

Chris will be joined by a colleagues Theresa Kelly who is a lead trainer and who has extensive experience of delivering the Living Life to the Full suite of resources.

The event starts at 12 with introductions . There will be a 10 minute Q&A at the end of the presentation. This is a lunch and learn session so we invite you to sit, stand or move and bring your lunch. The event will finish at 12:45 so we hope that most people will be able to grab a quick breath of fresh air outside.
