On Wednesday 10th September, there was an Infection Prevention and Control webinar – Protecting our residents – the importance of adult immunisations.
It was delivered by a panel of experts from organisations across GM in collaboration with the NHS GM Screening and Immunisations team.
The webinar was open to ALL staff working in care homes across GM, and covered the following topics:
* The importance of vaccinating older people against; Shingles, Pneumococcal, RSV, COVID and Flu.
* Vaccine safety and efficacy
* The challenges around capacity and best interest decisions
* What can we do to increase uptake in Care Home Residents
