ARC-GM SOCIAL CARE / SOCIAL WORK RESEARCH INTERNSHIPS

We are pleased to launch the NIHR ARC-GM Social Care and Social Work Research Internship, a funded development opportunity for professionals working across adult and children’s social care and social work in Greater Manchester.

The internship is designed for individuals who are interested in developing their skills, knowledge and confidence in using research and evidence to inform practice, service development and decision-making. Successful applicants will receive protected time, training and support to explore a social care challenge or area of research interest relevant to their role.

The programme offers:

  • Up to £25,000 backfill funding to support participation for approximately one day per week over 12 months
  • A tailored programme of training and development opportunities
  • A £1,000 personal development budget

We welcome applications from individuals working in adult or children’s social care and social work across Greater Manchester, including those employed by local authorities, social care and social work provider organisations, and voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations.
