To all care home managers, this is an important message from Sara Roscoe, the Associate Director of Strategic Commissioning at NHS GM.
“We are writing to inform you of some changes to the provision of the adult hearing domiciliary service. One of the current providers, Outside Clinic, has served notice on the contract. Outside Clinic will no longer accept new referrals with immediate effect.
Outside Clinic will continue to manage those patients who are currently at the start or part way through their 3 year pathway of care. Upon discharge, at the end of the 3 year pathway, patients will receive a letter informing them of the details of alternative providers. The discharge letter will also be copied to the patient’s GP, carer/power of attorney in order to ensure patients safely transfer to a new pathway of care.
We would very much appreciate your assistance in ensuring that any clients within your care are supported in accessing an alternative provider.”
