The Code and revalidation are fundamental to safe and effective nursing and midwifery practice, and will ensure we protect the public through modernised standards that reflect contemporary practice.
The reviews will help ensure both the Code and revalidation reflect today’s health and social care landscape – from the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion, to reflecting high profile inquiries and the progress of artificial intelligence.
They’ll also ensure the Code and revalidation reflect the evolving roles of professionals, and ensure the standards meet the ongoing expectations of the public, professionals and employers.
