Liverpool Social Care Partnership have taken over the responsibility for the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) and relevant support and training.
General Support for ASC Providers
- Online Sessions: They offer a webinar series of 5 sessions based on each section of the DSPT – they alternate between Teams and Zoom and most sessions go beyond the DSPT questions and delve into legislation/data protection/ cyber security as subjects so would be good refreshers for some providers. Each session will be 2 hours each
- 1-1 Visits: They will visit providers at their premises to guide them and go through each and every question. A lot of the time, it’s breaking down the jargon and hand holding if necessary; this option helps with those who’re struggling with time as well. (They normally finish 90% of the toolkit in under 2 hours and what’s left would be some templates they may need to implement, which they will also provide)
- Phone Calls/Email: Generally they’ll contact via phone/email those who are non-compliant based on figures that we get monthly
- Practical Workshops: As they move from compliance to competence, we’re introducing some practical workshops that break down the jargon and simplify some evidence/legal documents such as Record of Processing Activities (ROPA), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), etc.. These are online and usually an hour long.
- Newsletters: They do three physical mailshots every year. (usually with some bizarre artistic theme)
- Roadshow Events: They’re going to launch a series of face to face roadshow events across Greater Manchester next year – dates and venues to be confirmed in due course.
- NW Cyber Digi-Tech Network: This is a regional meeting for providers available for the Northwest about AI, cyber security and digitisation in Adult Social Care. It’s usually well attended and we try to make it as interactive as possible.
